Interesting cooking day... I purchased four beautiful cookbooks from the Interior Objects sidewalk sale. I have always enjoyed reading cookbooks. Now that I cook for the priests I have an excuse to collect them. Lucky for me the books were marked 90% off. Lucky for the priests, I am not intimidated by gorgeous food or recipes with lots of details. I chose to make artichoke ravioli with a garden tomato sauce to serve along side lemon rosemary country style pork ribs. I started with fresh pasta and made the artichoke filling, rolled the pasta filled the raviolis and tossed them in the freezer. I then got called away to take Aaron to the eye doctor. Three hours later was too late to finish dinner. So it will be served tomorrow night and I will have time to make a crazy delicious dessert. Lemonicello Tiramisu. I am hoping to learn how to add recipes and pictures to my writing. but not today...

The Beginning
Interesting task at hand. A little background... I am starting school this Fall after a really long time of educating myself via other means. I picked up my books on Friday and read through the first chapter of each of them. The English Composition class challenged me to write everyday. And that is where we are. I am going to write a little everyday for this month before school starts and see if that helps take the edge off.
Once I decided to start writing everyday and using the blog as my forum, topics began flooding my brain. I suppose that is one way to clear cobwebs so I am off to a good start. So here are the topics for today.
1. We rode our bikes to Mass this morning.
2. Sam blessed me with the sign of the cross during Mass.
3. After Mass we rode our bikes to breakfast and reflected on how great it is to live in a town so close to family and friends that we can bump into them at breakfast.
4. We went to a sidewalk sale and I bought four beautiful cookbooks.
5. We played at a park
6. I bought this laptop. My first computer ever.
Pretty boring stuff really but... I am writing... and it isn't killing me... not even a little :)
